A Contracting Authorities Forum, organised by the City of Orléans with the participation of the Loiret CAUE, have brought the architects into contact with mayors from various French and European cities, with architectural directors, local authorities or corporate heads. Beyond the competition itself, it has promoted closer contact between the decision-makers and the architects, providing genuine yearly access to this special expertise, while the architects has simultaneously continued to improve their understanding of municipal-authority requirements.

The Mayor of Orléans has chaired a roundtable before this audience, with the following participants:
the rapporteur: Dominique Lyon, architect of the Orléans Multimedia Library among other projects;
the Mayors of cities committed to an architectural realisation policy;
representatives of entities linked to contracting authorities.

The Contracting Authorities Forum has provided the opportunity to launch a debate among the exhibiting architects, the roundtable participants, the various professionals working in the architectural trades and the general public.
