The Milanese architect Stefano Boeri teaches urbanism and city planning at the Architecture University of Venice. He is co-founder of the Multiplicity Agency. The purpose of this agency is to execute projects with the help of multiple analysis systems, as well as study and representational systems. The agency, which is organized as a network, includes architects, geographers, artists, urbanists and city planners, and economists... In 1999, Stefano Boeri, Gianandrea Barreca and Giovanni La Varra founded Boeri Studio. The office has concentrated its interests on the contemporary urban condition in Europe and on the redefinition of major portual areas in the Mediterranean Sea, in particular around development and redefinition of touristic waterfront areas as Genoa, Naples or Ravenna. In architecture design field, Boeri Studio has focused its works on commercial and entertainment buildings and on reconversion of industrial buildings. Boeri Studio’s works have been published in many architectural and urban design magazines in Europe and have been shown in main design centres as Venice Biennal, French Institute of Architecture, Arc en Rêve in Bordeaux.
