Created in 1999, EZCT deals in its architectural research with the actual complexity and overlapping of sciences and technologies (Architecture as Sport, Werk, Bauen + Wohnen 2002. Technological Convergence, conference IFA 2003) thanks to the association of theoreticians and academics coming from various disciplinary fields. The synoptic vision of architecture established in this way, is not only cultural or artistic but also epistemological. At the present time, the office is working on the relation between calculus and architecture (Few Precisions about Architecture & Mathematics, Rencontres Mathematica® IHP, Paris 2004. Notes on Computational Architecture, Virtualmediacentre, online, 2004). EZCT attaches a great importance to the creation of new and precisely defined concepts, Integral Capitalism, Neuromarketing (From Neuroscience to Neuromarketing, Radical Shifts in Marketing & Communication Strategy, 2003) and Biocapitalism (Research on the Biocapitalist Landscape, 2003), as well as to a patient analysis of reality, being however distant from any form of stylistic realism. In 2003, EZCT participated to the workshops of the Architectural School Paris-Malaquais and the Technical University of Delft. The office collaborated in the conception of the set design of the Architectures non-standard exhibition in the Centre Pompidou (2003) and participated to Performative Architecture in the Technical University of Delft. The most recent work of EZCT is Empirism & Objectivity, architectural investigations with Mathematica (2004).
