The Ghetto Fabulous Project by Stephen
Slaughter and Nathaniel Belcher was shown
at the Studio Museum of New York in 2004.
The exhibition called Harlemworld : Metropolis
as Metaphor was focusing on Harlem district
as a changing lanscape by inviting over a dozen
of African-American architects. Projects were
presented through visual presentation as photography,
video or installation. In a spectacular
video-clip inspired by Hip-hop culture that grew
out of Harlem, Nathaniel Belcher et Stephen
Slaughter proposed a transluxurious penthouse
built on the top of a social housing project.
Previously, Nathaniel Belcher and Stephen
Slaughter both proposed a project for the
Korean Museum of Art competition. |
